Committee for Responsible Government

Founded: 4/23/1963   Location: Washington, D.C.

Founder(s): Dennison Todd

Headquarters Location: Washington, D.C.

Offices: New York City, New York; Los Angeles, California.

History: The Committee for Responsible Government (CRG) is a privately funded government watchdog group. Over the years, it has called for government programs and regulations to "provide for a better way of life for the citizens of the United States." The CRG through its founding and funding of the Paranormal Registration Movement led the way in trying to establish a registration system for individuals with paranormal abilities. The CRG's current agenda includes support for gun control laws, a national healthcare system, a standardized national education curriculum, mandatory national sentencing guidelines for criminal offenders and a national sales tax to replace the current income tax system.

Paranormal Community: In the seventies, the CRG was at the forefront in trying to get laws passed to register individuals with paranormal abilities. When the CRG's Paranormal Registration Movement (PRM) fell out of step with public opinion in the early eighties, the Committee ceased funding the PRM. Recently, the CRG has focused on a political agenda without any specific mentions of paranormals or their activities.
