History:
The company was originally setup to manage and license the patents of Dr. Hex. Johnson Hex took over the company after his father and his bodyguard, Trace Banyan, disappeared while investigating rumors of a lost city in the Northwest Territories of Canada. Johnson expanded the company into a high tech research and development company. The company is known for practical applications of cutting edge research but is probably best known for Hexium, a lightweight, flameproof highly durable plastic. Johnson is the Chairman of the Board and his childhood friend, Hali Subrumanian, is the CEO of Hex International.
Paranormal Community:
Dr. Benson Hex is reputed to be a paranormal with a genius talent for physical sciences. Hex International was the original contractor for special materials for the Blanco Mesa Ultra Security Penitentiary. When a version of Hexium could not be developed to meet the requirements of the project, Concord Technologies replaced Hex International as the special materials contractor. The company's current involvement in the paranormal community is limited to the licensed use of Hexium in everything from personal body armor inserts to specialized armored building materials.
