Story:

Daniel was a quiet and reserved child. He was an average student and never really excelled at anything until he discovered archery.
Archery quickly became Daniel's passion. He would practice for hours on end. Shooting target after target, practicing one trick shot after the other. Archery went from Daniel's passion to his obsession causing his grades to sink. His father grew tired of Daniel's lack of academic effort and sent him to Bunker Hill Military Academy.
Bunker Hill was a disaster, Daniel rebelled against the rigid discipline and ran away.
Daniel spent many days on the street, seeing the suffering of others and experiencing the hardships of being poor. One day while watching a bully roust a defenseless bum, Daniel decided to take action. He ran off the bully then returned the victim's stolen possessions.
Daniel found that he liked helping others and began working at the local Salvation Army mission.
Daniel liked helping others so much, that he dedicated the next thirty years of his life to helping people working at one charitable organization after the other.

Paranormal Community - Secrets:
Daniel donned the mantle of Archer several months after he started working at the Salvation Army mission.
Archer quickly became a thorn in the side of New York City criminals. His crusade against crime in New York City lasted from 1935 until he joined the Radley Foundation in 1948.
Archer was a field agent for the Radley Foundation and brought in more suspected Nazi War criminals that any other foundation field operative.
After the death of Crusader, Archer began a personal campaign to kill or capture Sturmwolf. This campaign lasted for eight months until Archer was critically wounded and left for dead after an encounter with Sturmwolf. The Argentine authorities found Daniel and imprisoned him for espionage. Daniel was rescued by Empath and returned to the United States.
After several months recovering and training, Daniel again donned the mantle of Archer and resumed his crimefighting activities in New York City.
Daniel retired the Archer identity when he left New York to live in Montana.
