FSS Response Force 1

First Appearance: 1/1/1978   Location: Washington, D.C.
Last Appearance: 3/10/2002   Location: Washington, D.C.

Founder(s): Federal Security Service

Reason: To oppose criminal and terrorist paranormals.

Leader(s): Viking

Members: Saxon, Celt, Norman

Area of Operations: United States

Status: Disbanded

History: FSS Response Force One was one of the FSS mobile paranormal units. Their primary task was escorting FSS prisoner transport vehicles that were carrying paranormal criminals and terrorists. They also occasionally supplemented local Radley-Gold groups and provided paranormal assistance to FSS Rapid Response teams and local law enforcement personnel.

Secret History: Two of the team members, Celt and Norman, were killed while Response Force One was assigned as security for Project: Panopticon. The remaining two members, Viking and Saxon, were assigned to the FSS Field Directorate until Centurion and Gladiator were assigned to the unit and Response Force 1 was reactivated.

Top Secret History: Viking and Saxon retired in 1999. This information was not made public until the restructuring of the Federal Security Service in 2002, when it became a part of the Office of Paranormal Oversight.

After Viking and Saxon's retirement, Centurion and Gladiator were reassigned to the FSS Prime Response unit and were announced as Field Leaders of this unit in 2002.
