The James Owen Radley Foundation recruited a group of agents to operate in the field and set up an investigative and administrative office to catalog and track sightings of Nazi war criminals.
The foundation had a great measure of success bringing in over two hundred Nazi war criminals for trial. One hundred sixty-seven of those captured were convicted and served prison time for their crimes.
Due to heavy financial loses and the death of the foundation's director, Christopher Owen Radley, the Foundation ceased field operations in 1958 and its remaining assets were seized by the state of New York in 1959.
